Jen is a self-taught artist who enjoys
working with the acrylic medium because of the bright colors
and versatility that it offers. Animals and Nature are
usually her subject matter of choice, and pet portraits have
become one of her specialties. Jen loves creating custom
work for people, especially if it is something she has never
attempted before. "I love the challenge of coming up with an
image that is unique to the person involved."
Jen began painting in 2003 with encouragement from a family
friend who commissioned her for
"Seasons of the
Wolf". Previous to her painting endeavors she worked
mainly in pen, ink & colored pencil. Jen will still break
out the pen occasionally, mostly to create sketches,
cartoons and cards. |

Though originally from the central coast of CA, Jen
lived in the Fort Collins Colorado area for over 14 years. While in
Colorado she met and married her husband Scott. She also adopted
their fuzzy child, the late Marshal Mayhem, who inspired many of
Jen’s creations.
In addition to art, Jen also loves music. She played bass in a band
called,
"Spazz Kat" and designed the album cover for “Hairball”.
In June of 2007, Jen and family moved back to San Luis Obispo, CA.
"I am very grateful for all the support I have received from my
family and friends as I continue to cultivate my career as an
artist."
